Whole saffron pistils have significantly more flavor than ground saffron. The finest pistils are picked by hand for maximum color, aroma and taste. This saffron is just as good for baking as cooking all year round.

Ground the pistils together with a little sugar in a mortar before use. Alternatively marinate in vodka or rum or cognac which develop a completely unique taste.
